We have service catalog, but we use it from an IT perspective. We need to explain what business services we are offering.
How do you use a shared resources? Define the Services. What are the run costs? What are the build costs? This time in design helps you make decisions. If you have services that are very consumption driven, the shared services work well to allocate in a shared services model. One Size does not fit all, but the important point is to define the allocation making decisions on run versus build, versus change.
